This certainly can be frustrating. In addition to what Jessica mentioned (blood and stool testing) I would need more info such as how old is your pet? How long have you had her and where did you get her from (environment)? What was her original diet? From what you have told me I would have to say that Giardia can be a cause of long term diarrhea which may even have mucous and or blood in it. The symptoms can worsen when the dog is stressed or ill. Giardia is also tough to get rid of and often it takes repeated treatments (the first should be at least 21 days long) and consider using two different medications--one after the other if your vet feels it is safe for your dog. It is important to remove the stool and the surrounding soil (if any) immediately or it can remain in that soil for years! If it is concrete clean well with a bleach disinfectant. The diarrhea can also be from food allergies or a digestive problem. First choice is what you are feeding--but be sure no meat by-products or other grains in the food!

Has she been tested for internal parasites or had tests done to determine the cause of the GI and/or ear infections? It may or may not be dietary. I recommend talking with your vet to determine the cause of the problems before trying to resolve them.
