On his back, his legs, and now on his neck! :( i dont know what it is, the vet gave me some kind of shampoo and it didnt work. Im really concerned because the spots from the rash are now flaring up and really red, he's a white pitbull, did anyone or does anyone else have this problem? or know what it could be? would it be easier if i posted a pic of what it looks like..its scary, he's like a child to me. Im so worried about him :(

I'd look into a possible wheat/corn allergy, which is pretty common in terriers overall. he's an adorable doggy & pitties tend to be my favorite breed!

My boyfriend has a 3 y/o American Bulldog, who is white and he developed these weird round sores on his head and lost the fur. What was left were round, bald, red patches (he had these for about a month and we contributed it to our new puppy, who likes to chew on his head and lips). Anyway overnight he developed huge welts on his body. Took him to the vet and he was put on antibiotic (which he is still taking) allergy med and we have been using Chlorhexidine shampoo 4% for about 2 weeks now. He improved in just a few days after taking his med. He still has the bald patches on his head, which will fill in eventually. But the body welts went away. We hadn't changed his food recently and there is nothing in his food as far as common allergies. We just contributed it to him being outside in the pollen, grass, weeds etc. Hope this helps. The vet said that he had a staph skin infection from the sores. But, like I said, he has greatly improved after all the treatment.

P.S.-He never scratched obsessively, that is why we thought she was leaving her baby bite marks on his face initially. Hope this helps.
