Q: My new puppy is a voracious chewer and I need to know what are healthy and satisfying chewing items?

I used nylabones for my dogs. They are hard but are safe for dogs to chew. There is also a Galileo bone that is really hard but safe to chew. I'm not sure how small they make the Galileo bones. You can find the Galileo and Nylabones at just about any pet store.

Something I suggest is in the Pet stages brand. I don't know what the toy is clled but you freeze it overnight and then it feels really good on their gums. They come in all sizes, so I think it will wrk for your dog.

We use the Kong toys for our Lab. She can chew anything up in seconds. These last for quite a while. They come in all sizes, you can get them at Petco and Wal-Mart and I have even seen them at Publix.
