my horse won't do flying lead changes and just bucks when I ask for one, is he just being a butthead or could there be something wrong? the vet says hes perfectly sound and that there /shouldn't/ be any reason for him to buck. So I think he just has tude probs. he does fine simple changes but flyings a no go. and I would like flying for the hunter ring. and if you go over a pole and ask for the change he will gladly give it to you, but just asking for it he gets witchy very quickly. and just curious on this question. thanks :)

in my experence a very long time ago i found that some just don't like to change leads some don't even want to do it at a canter. have you tried the reward system he may just have you outsmarted.
