Q: my guinea pigs bite me when i let them smell me.

i let my guinea pigs smell me and then they nibble on my finger.(alex does it more than daisy.) i dont know what it means. (maybe alex thinks my finger is a carrot!)

They are probably tasting you to see where you've been. Yes they can sniff, but tasting is so much more informational. Also, have you just handled some veggies? or grass? or something salty? You might taste good!

Some guinea pigs just nibble more than others. It's not unusual and nothing to worry about. Just don't put your fingers near their mouths.
