First bring him to the Vet and have hin checked out. It is not natural for a dogs nose to be dry. It could be as simple as needing a humidifier and for an ointment Bag Balm is the best.

Get him to a vet. A dogs nose should be moist and I have heard that if it`s not they are sick. It may be nothing but if I were you I have him checked out. BETTER BE SAFE THAN SORRY. GOOD LUCK

you could and should run a humidifier in the house. I do it for my child and myself and my dogs do not get dry nose Also make sure he is drinking enough, could be health problems.

Yeah, vaseline, aquafor, or vitamin E should do the trick. You just have to be diligent about putting it on every day.

Is he well hydrated? Make sure he's getting plenty of water.

my grandmas boxer used to get that, she would put vasaline on it and it seemed to work well.

My labs nose does that too. I use vaseline, just a dot. Too much and she spends all her time licking it off, which defeats the purpose.

I've been using a "natural" chapstick on my dog's nose! It is on the shelf by her leash, so whenever we go out I wipe some on there. She licks it a bit, but since I've been putting it on every day, her nose is healing.

Awww! Poor thing!!! :( I found some stuff at Paw Luxury that's for paw pads, noses, etc. store.pawlux.com/health/Paw%20Care/. I use the Pet Aromatics Paw Pleaser Protective Moisturizing Conditioning Balm on my dog. She likes it and it doesn't leave stains. She got it all over the couch when I first used it, but you wouldn't know today.
You also may be able to find something at your local pet store that's a bit cheaper.
The stuff at PawLux, and at the pet stores, would be safer for your dog to ingest since it's likely to lick it's nose.
