Q: My dog is losing hair can someone tell me why?

It could be any number of things. Flea allergy dermatitus, demodex, food allergy, etc. A vet can tell you better after an examination and possibly a skin scrape.......Dennis

I would take the dog to a vet - there are so many reasons for hair loss.

my brothers black lab lost his fur. the vet said he was sun burned and he had to have special shampoo and a spray. then he said to soak him in motor oil just in case it was a bug or something. but after a few months his fur came back in just like new.
