So sorry for your loss!

I've always buried my pets in the yard..we've never thought anything of it.

However, from now on I'm probably going to cremate. I had a dog that I was extremely close to die and we buried him and then had to move, and it tore me up to leave his body there. I know it sounds silly, but I hate the fact that he's there. It still upsets me to think about it and it's been four years!

Sorry for your loss. For years we buried our pets in the back yard and thought nothing of it. After all, it was our yard. But after several moves in the last 15 years, we no longer do that. Cremation is a nice alternative if you can afford it. Then you can scatter or bury the ashes without worry.

I am sorry for your loss. I don't believe (most) towns have ordinances....unless you're you have a condo association or something like that. I'd be sure the animal is buried deep enough so no one disturbs it, though. Very sorry for your loss. :-(

First let me say I am sorry for your loss. I think there are many cities that do have ordinances against burying pets in the back yard. Your vet may be able to answer this for you or the city office. You many even be able to find the information on line.

I have 2 poodles burried in my yard. I have their graves marked and would tell who ever bought this house if I were to move. We have no pet cementary where I live or they would be there. I don't know how legal it is though. I am sorry for your loss.

I would guess it depends on your local zoning laws, etc.

We have 3 cats buried in our back yard. I guess if nobody knows...no harm...no foul!

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, I can understand how much it hurts! But, he/she will live on in your heart forever! :)
