Hi
I have a Mealy Amazon Parrot that I have had for 21 years. I too had a hard time switching his feed from seed to "pellets" (I use Zupreem Avian Maintenance Fruit Blend). It took several attempts over many years but he now gets no seed at all. You have to mix it in a little at a time. Birds can be very resistant to any kind of change in their diet, but an all seed diet can cause liver disease and is not good for them, so please have patience. I found a very good website about feeding parrots (www.parrothouse.com/pamelaclark/feedingcompanion.html) but I'm sure that you can use a lot of information there for your cockatiel.
Good luck.

Mine loved fruit loops. He would even let you know when he was out of them because he said, "fruit loop".

My 15 year old cockatiel loves chicken white meat (no salt). Cannibalism? I guess.
