My British Shorthair cat sheds a lot, any suggestions?

My cat sheds a lot even with combing. She eats only dry food and does drink a lot of water. Would a little wet food help?

It wouldnt hurt to try, if you do give him/her wet food though make sure you mix it with the dry food first. He/She might think that she would get it all the time if you dont. My friend has 2 cats and she only gives them wet food about 1ce a week.

I believe there is some types of cat food (dry and wet) that help reduce shedding. You can also talk to you vet to see if there is anything they suggest to help with the problem.

Better quality diets will reduce shedding, since healthier skin equals less shedding. However, some shedding IS good.

Also, frequent brushing would help as well, if your cat tolerates it. Try to brush your kitty a few times a week and look for better quality kibbles to feed her :)
