how long does it take for a bird to stop molting

it takes any where from a month to two depends on the bird, they molt 2 times a year

Most birds molt a couple of times a year, unless you are unlucky enough to have a french molter. This is a disease where the bird molts constantly. You have to constantly supplement it's diet with molting food because it is constantly losing its feathers and it has difficulty flying too!
