Hamsters are nocturnal - of course he's going to be awake at night. Put him in another room and close the door.

We have 3 guinea pigs and 3 pet rats and had the same issue initially. My sons have the animals in their rooms, and both were kept up by these little nocturnals for the first few nights. I think a combination of becoming acclimated to their noise, and the animals getting settled into their new home made it a non issue in less than a week. Sometimes, we need to take the water bottle off the cage during the night, because the drinking is pretty loud, and we keep the rat's wheel well oiled so it doesn't squeak, but keeping us awake is no longer a problem. If it doesn't stop, you may need to move them out of your room.
