I agree about the micro-chip! My dog got out of our fenced yard somehow one night and was run over by a car. She was drug and her collar came off. Good Samaritans brought her to an animal hospital (not seeing the collar on the ground) and she was nearly put to sleep right there because of the extent of her injuries and because she had no tags. But, they found her micro-chip! They called me and I authorized treatment over the phone and rushed over there. Had she not been chipped, they would have put her down or she wouldn't have made it another half hour without treatment. Regardless of what you think, dogs get out (I still don't know how she did), collars can come off, and horrible things can happen. Micro-chip your pet!

I totally agree. I would hate to be the one who loses a pet. I feel so much better now that my dog and cat are bot chipped and tagged.
