Do you think it is better to leave your dog with its own vet or in a dog hotel?

Neither, I think it's best to leave your pet at home, where they are comfortable, and have a dog walker come a few times a day to exercise and spend time with your dog.

Hi:-). I left my animals for 8 days at my Vet as he had told me they would be spending the day with the front office help (Chihuahuas). However, when I went to get them, I asked to surprise them and was taken to a closet like room with cages lining the walls from floor to ceiling with the light OFF. I should have asked to see their facilities first, but I NEVER imagined. They had also NOT been out to the front office, although they were taken out to do their business. I was SO MAD AT MYSELF and heartbroken for my animals. Consequently, if I ever have to leave them again, I will check out boarding dog hotels to thoroughly SEE how the dogs are kept AND get an outline of their daily activities. I will NEVER put my dog anywhere again without a complete overview, even if it is my Vet. Hope this helps:-). Julee
