Q: Kongs??

What else can I put inside sashas new kong?
Right now I put peanut butter in it and freeze it but I thought maybe next wk I would put something else in it. I had heard that spray cheese was ok to put in there? Any ideas?? It needs to be something sticky like that can freeze. So it takes a while to get out!
Thanks! =)

i am not sure if you can do this but if you get a good soup bone with maarrow in it you could scoop the marrow out and put it in the kong. but i would check to make sure the marrow won't go bad in time

I asked this question at a local pet shop, and they told me to be careful with freezing kongs. that rubber is not made particularly to freeze. A product such as an Orbee... those are made of rubber made to freeze.
As for stuffing. I have a really small puppy, (yorkie) and I put some of his kibble in it, that way he gets a "treat"' but it's not over feeding him.
I'm lucky in the fact that even after the foods good Harley loves to chew on it and continue to play with it.

the rescue suggests peanut butter, healthy biscuits or plain yogurt.. I put yogurt and Mrs. Libby's 100% pumpkin in their food every day. It helps with digestion and all.

anything that will fit and be safe for them. many dogs like oatmeal, i would sweeten it up w/a little carob icing and maybe not freeze it, but stick it in the fridge to harden it up just a bit. savory food is also good, and you can even use their regular kibble to add some texture. dogs like things that have a crunch or some toughness to them the most.

canned pumpkin, but make sure it's real pumpkin, not the pie spice blend.

Canned dog food works well. My dogs love applesauce, so I freeze that in the kongs. I've also used plain yogurt, and canned pumpkin. All seem to freeze well, and they have to work hard to get it out.

I know little dog cookies, like small milkbones fit it very nicely.
