my kittens just recently turned 6months old, i started thinking of what to do for their 1st birthday. I know they sell dog "cookies" and "cakes" but ive never see anything like it for cats. If anyone knows of where they have anything similar or any ideas it will be very helpful. =]

For Thunder's birthday and anniversary, we had a tuna juice celebration. I gave him some tuna juice and then we played a few games. He liked it as much as anything else I could have given him.

I 'googled' "cakes for cats" and the first entry was for a website called www.petcakes.com and they have a whole selection of safe cakes for dogs and cats. Check it out, they look adorable! Even if you don't buy one they might give you some ideas.

My cat, Meeka, just had a birthday too and I had the same idea. I looked online and came up with the idea of making my own "cat cake". What I did was to shape some tuna fish into a cake shape. Then I sprinkled a little bit of cat nip on it, and decorated it with a few of her treats that were shaped like fish. She seemed to think that she was getting the royal treatment! She really reacted in quite a positive way to it!!!

In my city there is a place called farm dog bakery they sell treats just for dogs, But with what I have seen them sell at cat shows I am sure looking online may help. You should also set out open paper bags cats love to run in and out of brown paper bags. I do know that at the cat shows they sell Gerbers baby food for people to give to their cats. Maybe give them that or imprivise and make a cake out of the baby food. My mom made a wonderful carrot cake once using baby food that was mooshed up carrots.
