GNats and flys seem to be attracted to the litter I buy I have tried several diffrent types and washed the litter box but there are still a ton of gnats and flys that come out of it and live in it so what is a type of litter that they would not be attaracted too? (I have already tried non-scented litter) So what kind of litter should I use?

It sounds more like the bugs are attracted to what is IN the litter, not the litter itself. That is, bugs are attracted to used and unclean litter!

Try scooping the litter box more frequently so that there is nothing for the bugs to be interested in!

Dirty litter attracts gnats and flies. Litter boxes need to be sanitized at least once a month and used litter completely replaced at least once a week. You can sanitize the boxes with a solution of one part bleach to ten parts water. Clean, rinse, and dry the boxes thoroughly. If the boxes have a lot of scratches and cuts in the surface, they may need to be replaced because the more they're scratched up, the more odors they retain. Try using scoopable litter and scoop you boxes at least twice a day. That way there is less residual odor-causing leftover after scooping and stirring. Also, look around the house and see if there are other things that could be attracting the gnats and flies such as over-ripe fruit, over-watered plants with decaying matter in the pot, and trashcans (especially kitchen) that haven't been emptied.
