I know that they make ice cream for dogs but do they make it for cats cause I think Shorty would like it and he always wants a bite of my Sherbert or bite of vinalla ice cream and he likes it but I know it is bad for him I think it would be great if I could find kitty frozen treats for him like they have for dogs so does any one know if they sell frozen kitty treats like kitty ice cream?

Instead of giving ice cream, which I occasionally do as well, I shoot for plain yogurt which has far less lactose present. Cats can't taste sweet, it's the creaminess they love. But still stick to a small teaspoon with yogurt. You can also give them a taste of dog ice cream, just keep everything as the occasional and moderate treat and they should be okay.

They like to drink it because it tastes good to them, but that doesn't mean it's good for them. They need mother's milk as kittens, but once they're out of that stage, milk serves no nutritional purpose for a cat. If a cat were put on a milk-only diet, it would die. Some cats can tolerate milk, but none of them have the enzymes in their bodies to break it down so it causes tummy upsets and diarrhea for the vast majority of them. It can sometimes cause them to become dehydrated too. If you know it doesn't make him sick, it's okay to let him have a little bit, but it's best if it's only given as an occasional treat. Cream is easier on them than milk because it has less lactose than whole or skim milk. I do let mine have an occasional (very occasional) treat of cream, but only a few sips.

Kelly, that is so interesting that cats are lactose intolerant because of how much they love milk. Frank loves ice cream and always wants some of mine. Is it bad for him to have a little?

Cats are lactose-intolerant so there aren't any completely "like" ice cream treats out there. There is called "Cool Claws" that is an "ice cream style" frozen treat. It's safe for their digestive tract since it doesn't have any milk. I don't know who sells them, but you can look them up online and find out where you can buy them.
