How old are kittens when there eyes turn from blue to green or yellow?

Usually they start to turn at about 7-8 weeks, but it can take anywhere up to a few months for them to reach their permanent color they will have as adults. I have a litter of kittens right now that are 13 weeks old and their eye colors still seem to be developing and are kind of two-toned.

Kittens can develop at different rates but most of the ones I have cared for had their eyes change color before they were 8 to 10 weeks old. The change always seems to surprise me. I look at them one day, notice that the eye color is different and don't remember exactly when it changed. Some cats have blue eyes so they may never change

by the third or fourth month their eye color appears to be set. I don't know when it starts turning because the Twins went from opalescent blue to a more crystal blue, but the blue stayed. Tommy is 4 months old or so and the green in his eyes hasn't went away so I think we're keeping green and gold and Ursula has had blue every since three months when we found her.
It really is a cool thing to watch these babies growing up.
