It doesn't matter what kind of dog you choose, it can be small, large, brown, white, gray, something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue...wait, I think I'm getting off track here...so let me know your favorite type of dog-that is unless you don't like dogs which if you don't, please do tell!!! I love golden retrievers and shih tzus. I have one of each right now. they are both wonderful dogs and everyone else that have met them would agree. people i no who have these type of dogs also say they are awesome

maltese has always been my favorite. I love the furry white coats and they dont get too big which is another plus for me

Bull terrier. Hands down. I've got a 3 year old male that i rescued from some bitch who left him tied up outside all day and let her other dogs beat the crap out of him. His face was basically 1 big scab when I got him. He is very good with other dogs and he LOOOOVES kids.
He is the biggest mamas boy in the world and the best companion. He is a ton of fun to have around and is always doing something to make me laugh.

I love mutts, but for actual breeds, I like airedale terriers, akitas, border collies, and austraillian shepherds.

I've always loved Irish Wolfhounds. The ones that I've known were wonderful, but besides their short life span, I've known a lot with bone cancer or heart trouble. After I rescued my first Pitbull, I was hooked. They are todays "Throw away dog". I now have 3 Pits and they followed 2 that are gone and missed very much. I'm sure the 3 I have now , won't be my last.

I like the Chinese Shar-Pei and Prembroke Welsh Corgi, but I would chose a mixed breed over them any day.
