I just read one of the zoo news stories about a woman who spent her birthday in the kennel to raise money for her shelter. Has anyone successfully done this? Could you email me specifics on how to run the fund raiser and how much money you were able to raise?

Hi you....What about going to the site of the shelter, I know it was named in the article, and get it straight from the horses mouth, the woman who organized it. I thought it was a great idea, I would send something to spring you Cully ;)

Aset bail that the jailed would have to get from sponsors before being released might be fun!

lol... i was also lookin in to it... wondering who i need to get in contact with & how to go about getting the city managers to approve such a thing if i had to get that approval... i know plenty of people that would be willing to go to jail for the furkids @ A/C...

i was thinkin we could somehow attatch a lidded jar with a slit in the top, high enough the dogs couldnt get to it, so people could donate that way as well... then @ the end of the jail time, whoever got the most donations could get a prize... nothin fancy... but somethin that would show humor...

I read that story, too. think it's a great idea. I don't know how to run a good fund raiser. But I would suggest getting women to 'go to jail'...maybe their husbands/boyfriends would pay big bucks to get them out when they get hungry! I know my hubby can't cook!
