Q: IS THIS NORMAL BEHAVIOR?

My mini-dachshund pup who is about 3 months old has been doing great on potty training the first couple weeks, but now she tends to go on the rug. But its mostly number two only on the rug not number one. Number one is on the training pads. Were pottytraining her indoor because she is a mini and we already tried her and she is scared of rain and does not like the snow much. I bought her training pads but its number two thats the issue. Also, what I am concerned with is her heart is always going fast. Is this normal? I asked my parents and they said thats normal for dogs. Should I ask a vet? Please help!

Nevermind, I found this on google.com but is it true ↓

Yes, it is very normal because puppies have slower metabolisms than us, which is why they don't live as long as humans.

I am glad you found your answer and that there is no problem with your puppy. She is really cute. I would not hesitate to call the vet any time you have concerns about your puppy. They should be willing to help you learn as well as take care of any health issues your pet may have. I wish Daisy a long and healthy life.

Try to take the 'accident' and put in on the puppy pads. This may help her get the idea of th appropriate place to go.

I have the same issues with my mini-dachshund who is 2-1/2. She doesn't like to go out in the rain or snow either. We've only had her for six months so I wonder what her potty training was previously. She also tends to have accidents if she's not feeling well or is under stress.
