Q: Is there any holistic treatment for arthritis for dogs?
Does glucosamine help? Charlie limps after a walk as he has arthritis in his right leg. Any ideas

My cat is on Glucosamine for bladder issues. I'm told it's used primarily for joint problems but that it can also reduce bladder inflamation in the same way it reduces joint inflamation . My vet did tell me though, that it takes about a month to build up in the system. I believe this to be true because it took a while for my cat to get better. He ultimately did and will now be on the glucosamine for life to keep the problem from reccuring. If you do use it don't expect it to work right away. I was told that it is quite safe for long term use so it is certainly worth a try.
