Q: Is there any concern the peanut butter reccall with pet treats?

So many pet treats contain peanut butter--so now I'm worried about giving those to my dogs. I just noticed I bought peanut butter flavored Frosty Paws frozen dog ice cream by Purina. That treat is on hold for now.

I agree with MHunter1. Things like this always brings me back to my moms favorite saying.
'When I doubt, throw it out.'

I understand your concern. What does the ingredient label say? If it includes peanut butter or peanut paste, I would throw the treats away and wait until the all clear is given. Honestly, if it were me, I would do this anyway. Throwing away a few dollars in treats is nothing compared to the heartache and cost that would incur if your pet got sick from them (and this is coming from one of the biggest penny pinchers you will find) :).

I agree with the previous posters. It is better safe than sorry. We don't want the furbabies to get sick, so I'd stay away from anything with peanut butter until we hear different.
