Q: Is there a way to decrease cat's shedding?
My two cats are about two years old now and last year they were outside so much shedding wasn't much of an issue. Now they are inside all the time, which I like, but I don't like the shedding! I do brush them most everyday. I have read a little bit about supplements that may help. Any suggestions?

Regular brushing. Also a better diet is probably needed. If you feed grain free food it has many health benefits including improving the coat. My vet actually suggests feeding 1/3 cup dry grain free food and 4oz grain free moist food a day. The food my vet reccomended was Taste of the Wild. But there are others. Just be sure it has no grains - a lot of the premium food has oatmeal, brown rice ect which are healthier but still not good for cats and dogs. Hope this helps.

I've never heard of anything that decreases shedding. I would just continue the brushing and stuff. Thunder sheds, but I don't have a problem with it.

more brushing, especially for that lion in the photo. what a cutie! this time of the year is a pain while they're losing those winter coats, but once you do a few extremely thorough brushing, it gets it back on track.
