Q: is salmon ok for a dog

Salmon should be okay. If you look at different kinds of dog food you will probably notice many that are "salmon and rice" plus I have a friend who was told to feed her dog salmon when she brought her home from a breeder. Perhaps Lucy isn't accustomed to eating food like that and she got sick. That's all. But if you decide to feed her salmon again please make sure to remove all the tiny bones before you give it to her.
