Q: Is my Rottweiler going to get bigger???

I have a 1 year old rottweiler but she is very slender. She eats and plays but she doesn't seem to be getting the "normal" size of a rottie. She is pure breed, I was wondering if some mature slower than others??

Every dog is different, and not all of them will fall into "breed standard" all the time. :) She is still young so she will fill out more as she matures, I'm sure. Is she spayed?

Just like the others said, give her another year to fill out. Rotties usually, like other large breeds take 2- 2/12 years to reach their maximum size. She is still maturing, her hips are getting solid, she is filling out weight wise. Its just takes time and some dogs progress at different rates than others!

Give her another year to finish growing and filling out.

All you need to do is check the various Rottweiler web sites and you find that this breed frequently does not get it's full growth until they are 1 1/2 to 2 years old.
they tend to get their height in their first year and then start filling out. Hope this helps
