Q: is merrick brand pet food good and is there one better

Look at the ingredients list on the food. The first ingredient is most important because it is the bulk of whats in the food. Just like people food the ingredients are listed in order of how much of the item is in it. If the first ingredient is beef, chicken, fish, etc then the food is good. If its cornmeal or byproducts or something similar then the food is mostly filler and your pet will be eating more and going to the bathroom more to get the same amount of nutrition from it.
