Q: is it really a good idea to Neuter my dog?

He is not in heat, he does not hump anything and he is now 3 years of age. I am seriously thinking on proceeding with this, since i can not provide him a girlfriend.

You cannot guarantee your dog will not escape and add to the unwanted animal population. Also, un-neutured dogs are at greater risk for prostate and testicular cancer.

I strongly believe in spaying/neutering pets. It is healthier for them and can prevent many problems down the road. Also there is no guarantee you dog will not escape and find that girlfriend and add to the already overwealming numbers of unwanted dogs and cats. Please neuter your dog and encourage your friends to do their pets as well. Only if everyone gets on board with this will the numbers of animals put down every year, end.

I am a firm believe in neutering and spaying. There are way too many unwanted pets already. It is definitly healthier for him and will turn down those roaming and domainat hormones.
