I had seen an ad in the local Rochester NY section for Pets & Craigslist. I am wondering if these 2 will possibly get along if I even try to let them bond to each other. I've looked over the bird's information & it's said by the owner that he is very sweet & doesn't bite or nothing of the sort. I am thinking about emailing the owner to see about the rehoming fee, but I do need advise on here first.

i know very little about birds, but i have a friend who's a bird behaviorist. she has a macaw, two cockatoos, and a smaller parrot. she taught them all to fly and netted off her entire backyard, which they all hang out in together when the weathers nice. during meals and nighttime, or when i petsit, they share a smallish room. all in their own large cages, but close enough to keep each other company.

you did not say what kind of bird rockey is. has rocky ever had a companian bird before. i think it would depend a lot on those 2 things. if rocky as you said is older and a smaller bird that has always been alone a macaw can be pretty intimidating by size and volume alone. good luck making your desision. be areful of craigs list. there have been murders from that site. try to find out how old the bird is

daryls right about being safe w/craigslist {and probably everything else she wrote}. always take a friend w/you to meet the bird. i've only had one person come by themselves to meet one of my foster cats, and they were creepy!
