i have 8 cats & am looking into getting something to help them with the up-coming flea season. my one cat, stella, has an allergic reaction to fleas...she gets little scabs on her from scratching so much. i've seen "bio spot" in a pet magazine & am wondering if this will be buying for my "kids". if not, any recommendations?

I had a terrible time with fleas last year and tried several products. We finally had our back yard sprayed and no more fleas. We just kept the dogs away for several days and all was good. For indoor flea control try putting a green Christmas light in a night light put over a bowl with soapy water. The fleas are attracted to the green light and fall into the water. The soap helps keep them from getting away.

Why don't you talk to your Vet or a local rescue, maybe they will work out a discount or payment schedule for frontline, if you don't have a problem with ticks you will be able to give a treatment for the summer & not every month, I do it with my dogs & never have a problem I have 3 dogs and just get the 3 pack from the Vet, they all weigh about the same, over the counter products have been known to kill cats & dogs or make them very ill, the frontline will also kill larvae and any fleas in 48 hrs.

I have never had good luck with biospot. I have resorted to using Revolution. I know it isn't as safe as Biospot, but fleas and ticks are worse. A friend of mine lost her dog to a type of lyme disease caused by ticks. I never see any fleas or ticks with Revolution.
