Q: Inexpensive/discount Boarding?

Does anyone know of an inexpensive boarding facility in the Richmond, VA area? I will moving to Virginia in June and staying with my brother while I finalize job and housing arrangements. I am thinking I may have to board my dog for up to 2 weeks and don't have a lot of money to spend. Any ideas on lowering the costs? (There is no chance my dog can stay with me at my brother's..nor do I know anyone else in the area).
Key word here is "Inexpensive"....cheapest I found is about $25/night...but that adds up fast! I am willing to possibly to some type of exchange (tutoring/babysitting)...But $25 time 14 is crazy!

Try Olde Towne Pet Resort. It is fifty-five dollars a night with three walks included. You can pick the size of the room and other activities. It is in Springfield Virgina

If there is a petsmart there, they do have pet motels at some of their stores, but I don't know the cost, ask your brother if he could ask around to some of his friens if they know a Vet, get a # and call, make sure they do board, allot do, but give notice they don't have allot of room, explain the situation & tell them you will be using them as your Vet & see if they have room, does your brother know anyone that would keep you dog for a couple weeks, with you supplying food, going over & giving walks & offer to pay what you can afford, don't bring to a shelter your dog could pick something up, also how about a breed rescue in Phila here the NGAP (greyhound adoption) has a wonderful kennel that takes other breeds, their dogs are all Vet checked & get great care, maybe their are some breed rescues that would take your dog a little cheaper than another source, look on a rescue site, pick a bred close to the size of your dog or if you know the mix, or maybe you have a certain breed, good luck, let us know how you make out.
