We inherited a crab last year and I am wanting to let it go this summer back at the beach that it is supposedly from...just seems the right thing to do...

I believe that that is an okay thing to do but if you have brought it up differently than its own environment it might be a problem.

I would, if it came from the beach. But I would acclimate it to the temperature outside if it is different from inside your home. The shock might be too much.

if you think it can survive, i would suggest letting it go back.

I am assuming that this is a hermit crab?
I would have to wonder if it would be able to survive?
If so, they yes I would return it.

Absolutely, if that is where the crab came from, he should be returned to hsi rightful home. Please do the right thing and thank you for wanting to. Hope he knows how to survive after captivity

I'm not sure I would be able to let it go if has been a year. I'm not sure it will survive now. If it would survice then I would try to return it to the wild.

It's a good idea, and if you have kids it will have to teach them to respect the wild. My niece and I spent time catching 7 yr locust, and then we talked and she let them out of the cage. She still talks about that and how it made her feel to set them free.

I would DEFINITELY put it back where it came from. It's a living thing and is probably searching for home!
