Q: I need to know if there are shelters out there that will sell animals to research centers?

I am asking again . I'm not sure if the first time I sent the question went through. This is very disturbing to me.

Angel Acres would never adopt out a horse to an research facilities. The are people that will prey on those in need of help with their pets. NEVER post a free pet ad, there was a guy in Minnesota or Michigan taking animals from people, dogs and I believe greyhounds, and selling them to the research facility. Telling the owners they were getting good homes. We helped break up a horse stealing ring in NY. An EMT was "Getting good homes" for her freinds horses...yeah, the Valley Livestock Auction was where they really went. And all were saved and returned by one, Austins Awesome was slaughtered. Nice friend she was...

My shelter and ones I am familiar with do not sell, or send out for research. Cremation is done in shelter

Anyone can walk into a shelter and adopt an animal. Some research labs send average looking people in to adopt animals to take back to experiment on. And even some shelters are willing to give animals to labs because it costs less than having to euthanize them.

There is a local humane society here that sends cats and dogs to the local university for experiments. I don't approve.
