What are your opinions on only giving your cat canned food and no dry food? I hear that it is bad or I have heard that you should mix it....
I am going to give my cat Blusky(14 years) canned food, and dry food snacks. I would like to hear your opinions/stories=)

We have always left a bowl of dry food out for them 24 hrs. Then, once a day, give them a little wet food. This way they get the good taste of the wet and still have the dry all day for their teeth.

Now that my 18yr old has problems with the dry food, we give her wet 2x a day. Still leaving out her dry for her to snack on when she feels like it.

I actually talked to my vet about this. He said that these days they are making canned food healthier, the only problem with the soft food is that it can weaken the animals teeth. I keep out dry food 24/7 for my pets and they only get soft food for special occasions. My mom keeps dry food out 24/7 and feeds her pets soft food twice a day. The reason i dont feed mine daily is because they become used to it and will tart screaminmg if youre late.

Canned costs more but if you can afford it then the cat will like it better.
