Q: I have heard that the natural dog treats are best. Anyone have any information on a good brand?

Sammy(Samantha) loves to chew. She's almost 2. I will not give her rawhide. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Anything your dog cannot consume is a good choice -- that is, other than carrots or the edible nylabones and such. The white (real) bones you buy in the pet store are also a good choice for a vigorous chewer. You can fill these with peanut butter or treats as well. Be careful with the peanut butter though - my pup was starting to gain a little weight when I gave this to her daily.

I would recommend Nylabones. If you go with a Kong, get the black one, it's designed to hold up to stronger chewers. Kongs are great because you can fill them with peanut butter or other treats and it will keep them busy for a while.

I agree, Nylabones are great!! My dog loves the Healthy Edibles. My Vet was pleased with how clean her teeth were (for being 12yrs old) Nylabones rec'd her stamp of approval and she's very much into Natural foods, etc.

My vet recommended Nylabones as well and my dogs love them. The "healthy edibles" are their favorite.

I've heard about a chew called "AntlerZ". I'm trying to do research but coming up with mixed reviews about them. I'm sticking with Nylabones for now.

Booda also makes a natural bone treat that comes in a variety of flavors.
