You need to rule out a medical condition, such as urinary tract infections! This, of course, requires you to schedule a veterinary appointment ASAP.

The litter box may also have acquired an odor and needs to be cleaned/sterilized with Clorox or bleach. You should completedly clean the box and fill it with all new kitty litter. (You should do this periodically even if/when they do not have a medical problem.)

You need to find out if all 3 are not using the box, and then find out if there is anything medically going on by having cats seen by a vet. If nothing is wrong medically, you might want to look at location of litter box, is it too close to their food? Has there been any changes in the human members of the household etc. Good luck!

when a cat or cats suddenly stop using the litter box, it can indicate many different factors. If one of the cats in the household has a urinary tract infection, or bladder stones, then the urgency that occurs from it can cause a cat to not make it to the litter. In multiple cat households, if one starts to go outside the box, the others may soon simply follow suit. It would be a good idea to see your vet to rule out any sort of disease; if all of that turns out to be negative, then behavioral issues need to be addressed.
