I had a climber and my only workable solution was to replace it with a 6 ft. wooden fence. Not everyone can afford to replace fencing, though. Hope the other ideas work for you.

I got a tip from a trainer I really liked that might help. It is however, a meathod requiring a lot of patience and time. Get a long rope and a training collar. Go out with your dog and allow him to start wandering. When he gets close to the fence, give him a sharp tug and say 'leave it' or 'yard', choose a comand. Then call him to you and do something fun. Will the neighbor bring their dog over for a play-date? If he's getting the interaction he wants, he may not be so driven to climb. I was told a long walk will solve most behavioral problems! Good luck!

I have 8 dogs and in that 8 dogs I have digers, jumpers, and climbers. There are under ground fencing you can get that you dog ca wear a collar that beeps then shocks if they cross the line. Or do what I did and put up a Cattle eletric fence, and I assure you they will not cross the line. the good thing is you only have to plug it in for about 5 days.

Like your other answer said- a curved inwards top would be good. I'm not sure if a wooden fence would stop your climber or not...

you can add additional chainlink at the top of the existing fence, but angle it in - toward your yard. that stops most fence climbers.
