How often do you travel with your pet?

After spending a couple days apart from my "fur babies" I wondered, how often do other people take their pets along on trips? I used to bring mine everywhere but now that there's 3 it's a lot of work, and stuff, for just a couple nights!

we bring our dog on car trips, but if we have to fly she stays with friends or family. i would love to bring her, but i think the stress of flying is a lot greater than the stress of staying behind... and then she is also so super happy when we get back, it's truly amazing! you just need to make sure your pet is staying with people who love her/him as much as you do!

My pup comes EVERYWHERE with me. She's my kid, and honestly, if she can't come - I don't go. I haven't had a problem with it yet. She travels great, although she's not the greatest company since she's usually passed out for 99.9% of the drive. The cats I'll leave home with friends or family since they're a little easier to take care of. The dog isn't even a thought - I drive, and she comes, no doubt!

Our two Yorkies travel everywhere we go by car. Many hotels now are "pet friendly". They love to travel and are very good in the car as long as we stop for bathroom breaks, water and treats every few hours on long trips.

I traveled with my dog in the car last month from Austin to St. Louis. He was great. No problem finding a hotel either. I would take him with me on my next road trip.

We just got home from a GREAT New Year's trip with all three of our dogs, which range from small (12 lbs) to large (67 lbs). We looked all over for a place to go with them all, but found that many of the places that tolerate dogs have restrictions due to size or were in cities and locations we did not want to go to... so with a google search and a VISA, we found HEAVEN: The Paw House Inn @ Mount Snow. This place is a B&B which caters to dogs and humans. There is a doggie hotel (converted barn) for when the humans go out, which is staffed with people who will groom, walk and feed your babies. Not only is this place amazing for the pups, your human needs are met too. The chef is amazing and the rooms are comfortable and filled with exciting options such as a fireplace and hot tub.

We hardly ever travel due to our pets. I can't stand leaving them to go on vacation. The only time we travel with them is during the summer when we go to our lake home.

We bring our dog everywhere!! We have a camp in the boondocks 3 hours from home and she travels well. We also googled places that allow pets to stay which helped a lot with our trip to Maine. I certainly makes traveling more fun. It is better than worrying about them at a kennel.
