How often do you travel with your pet?

After spending a couple days apart from my "fur babies" I wondered, how often do other people take their pets along on trips? I used to bring mine everywhere but now that there's 3 it's a lot of work, and stuff, for just a couple nights!

We bring our dog everywhere!! We have a camp in the boondocks 3 hours from home and she travels well. We also googled places that allow pets to stay which helped a lot with our trip to Maine. I certainly makes traveling more fun. It is better than worrying about them at a kennel.

Bring my Husky with me everywhere. I adopted him in March and have yet to spend a day away from him. I can't do that with my turtle or cat...turtle needs large aquarium, cat would be petrified to leave his comfort zone.

I wish there were more pet friendly places to travel to, though.

We just got home from a GREAT New Year's trip with all three of our dogs, which range from small (12 lbs) to large (67 lbs). We looked all over for a place to go with them all, but found that many of the places that tolerate dogs have restrictions due to size or were in cities and locations we did not want to go to... so with a google search and a VISA, we found HEAVEN: The Paw House Inn @ Mount Snow. This place is a B&B which caters to dogs and humans. There is a doggie hotel (converted barn) for when the humans go out, which is staffed with people who will groom, walk and feed your babies. Not only is this place amazing for the pups, your human needs are met too. The chef is amazing and the rooms are comfortable and filled with exciting options such as a fireplace and hot tub.
