Q: How much would you pay a petsitter?

We are doing some camping this summer, and although I love having my dog, we do lots of kayaking and they don't allow the dog on the public beach. So, we choose to leave him with a pet sitter, usually my best friend who watches him. If she isn't available, how much would I offer to pay someone? He just needs a person to be with him, no medication etc... but he can't be kenneled... he gets too upset and doesn't eat. He's spoiled!

If they are just coming to feed and walk dog-20 bucks is enough.

Our sitter is a vet tech at our local vet and this is her side line. We pay her $15 a visit for 2 visits a day. We have a dog door and fenced yard. SHe comes to check and make sure food/water is okay. Not to walk. It was $$10 until gas prices went up. It does not matter if we have 1 or 3 animals; same price. No walking involved.
