$15-$50 or so for the turtle
$100 for a 40 gallon tank... even a small painted turtle needs at least 40 gallons worth of water to swim in. Larger ones need exponentially more.
$125 and up for a Fluval external canister filter, the minimum needed to keep the water clean.
$30 for a heat lamp and hood
$30 for a UVB lamp and hood
$5-10 a week for feeder guppies.
$10 a month for food pellets
$20 a month for fresh produce and other assorted foods

If you have to ask the price you can't afford the pet, any pet not just a turtle, they get sick, they get hurt, they feel pain, You will need an exotic pet Vet, and you have to pay that Vet, you are responsible your pets never suffer

Sheltervt has definitely given you a great breakdown. I hope you have researched a painted turtle and all its needs and responsibilities on your part as an owner. There are also special vets for these types of pets. I would strongly urge you to really consider this before you get a pet that you find is too expensive for you to take care of. Assuming that you are a young person, I surely hope your parents are aware as well. Good luck to you.
