The prices vary dependant on the tank you would like. I would say to check out your local acquarium center and see what they have to offer and how it fits with what you want and how much you can afford.

It has been a while since I bought my 30-gallon aquarium and I don't even remember how much it cost. (But it was somewhat expensive.)
What I did learn AFTER I bought the 30-gallon aquarium is that it is NOT a standard size, even though it SOUNDS like one. The "standard" size at that level is actually 29 gallons! I know that sounds "backwards", and I learned the hard way--when I was trying to find accessories to fit. The pet stores had accessories for 29-gallon aquariums in stock, but I had to order a cover for my 30-gallon one.
I'd suggest you look into buying a 29-gallon aquarium so that it is easier to find accessories!

I checked on-line and, in my area, it looks like the price would be $75-100 (just for the tank).
