How many of you like to be on facebook?
Do you find that it is more addicting than the zoo?
In what way's if any, (if you are on fb) that you like about it.

I"m not yet on Facebook. I haven't bought into any of that stuff.

Jillian, I hear you on 'my baby is so cute' stuff. I feel like i'm surrounded by new mommies -maybe its just the age group.
I feel like if they must inflict 'cute baby' stories on me, then they have to listen to my 'cute puppy' stories or 'cute filly' stories - turnabout if fair play after all. My friends know my pets are my kids, and way better than any two-legged variety (in my view). Just throw it back at them to give them a taste. lol

I like playing FarmVille with my friends. Now that is time consuming but it helps me relax.

I have been on it, but didn't stay. Some from here tried to continue the same damned feuds they had going there. Don't need that! It just takes too much time out of my day to try to see everyone's posts there, as well as here and other places I must go for work/social reasons. Facebook is about to make it even more money-oriented soon I hear. They release your personal info like who is your friend for their advertising. Your comments can be released for their advertising. Many don't know that. What else are they releasing? How is it slanted? What context does it present for understanding of what you really meant? I think it is a phemomenon of folks just trying to hide from real life when they stay on too much. A social drug. Will it bring social diseases? LOL I too, do not care about the day to day trivia some post every few hours. I suppose it is a way to create a perfect life you want folks to think you have for some. The ones who collect the most friends are those who can't really be one to others from what I have seen. Just like high school.

And as far as donations for good causes, most apps on there give very little to real charities. Many of those app developers just get that donation plug in from their ad vendors. It's a great little package easily scammed. Ask for proof of how much is "given". It is pennies, if that. Giving directy to a decent charity is better if that is why someone is rationalizing hiding from life on Facebook. Facebook is a great outlet for marketers though. And for bosses to finally realize who is a slacker if they are sharp enough to look there...and many are getting savvy.

I'm on facebook & I do find it more addicting than being on here (not that I neglect this site cuz I like to get point for shelter makeovers). I just think there's more things to do on Facebook & they also have apps that raise donations for good causes.

i signed up for Facebook a while back in order to participate in a contest. it's ok. i've got my profile fairly private. i got a pretty short friends list. i've been able to find out about goings-on and get some good coupons and coupon codes that way. i wish people would stop "sending" me stuff. seriously, every time i logged on prior to the Superbowl and Mardi Gras, someone else had "sent" me Drew Brees or Bourbon Street. what the...?! i do enjoy playing with Petville, though. gives me something to do at work during lulls while out at the desk.

I am not addicted to either.. I am on facebook too but rarely get on there.. I am not too crazy about all the extra things it has in it.. I would rather just socialize and catch up on news and stories.. when I have more time for me I might check it out more.

I am on both zootoo and facebook. I like facebook because I can stay in touch with all of my friends and family, and I even connected with a long lost friend I hadn't talked to in 11 years! However, I like zootoo as well because everyone here has a common love for animals, and you dont have all of the pointless things that come along with facebook.
