Q: How does one get rid of pet & ferel cats that nobody wants?

I live in Thornton, Colorado and I've lost my business and am in the process of losing my home! I have 40 cats I can no longer afford to keep or house. I have asked for help through local agencies and nobody is willing to help or adopt. Now what do I do?

I am so sorry that you are losing your house after losing your business. The shelter I work at always tries to help people in your position. I would contact Best Friends in Utah and Alley Cat Allies and maybe an ASPCA too. I am sure someone has some resources for you. We have helped out people in other counties because their local shelters couldn't. I wish you the best of luck and am sorry again for what you are going though.

There's s feral cat organization in the Denver area that may be able to help directly or that may be able to direct you to help: Dr. Erica Rambus at Divine Feline, www.divinefeline.org/ They're a statewide organization. Also, like others have stated, Alley Cat Allies & Feral Friends are also good contacts. Both can be found online.

See if any friends or family will take them. If that doesn't work try giving them to local pet shops, or adoption centers.
