Q: How do you name your pet?

Do you have names in mind before you get the pet or wait until the animal's personality comes through?

A little of both. I have 5 dogs, some I waited and others had the name before they came home.
Mercedes-named by breeder and I kept it.
Sassy- prev name Devon but Sassy was more fitting so once we adoped her, we changed name
Berlin- named before she was born
Diesel- named before he came home(keeping in line with a theme from my previous dog)
Ruckus- caused a Ruckus when he first came to me so he named him as soon as he got here. His name from Breeder was "Tater" Tot.

We name them once we have them. And, sometimes the name changes a couple of times before we stick with one. Personality and looks go into the decision.

Well basically when i look at the pet it has a certain thing to it and then a name pops in to my head... i have to like it though too.
