You mourn a cat like a person, like a dream has died, like you have nothing left to live for. You cry, you moan, you get down on your knees and pound on the ground. You hold your head because it feels like it's going to explode. You beg, you bargain you lose yourself in that love which is now gone. You mourn a cat like you, too are dying because part of you does.

for most who dont understand, there are those of us that care for our pets, but we dont consider them pets... they are our kids... mourn however you wish hun... dont let anyone tell you diffrerent... if you want to cry, then cry... if you want to yell scream whoop & hollor, then do so... when we had to put my little Peke, Bella Belle down, i was so upset my husband drove all night to get home to me... we found a shady spot out my a little creek near the blackberries... that is where i go to be close to here now...
