There are all-natural flea shampoos that are safe for puppies (even ones that are still nursing). They do work and are safe.

Use a plain old flea comb. The tines are so small that the fleas stick in the teeth and you can pick them off the comb and smash them or I think putting them in a cup of soapy water might do it. That worked for some puppies we had many years ago before all this electronic gadgetry. Also it gets the puppies used to being handled and they really seem to like it.

you can use a flea bath shampoo designed for puppies. we use it here at the shelter all the time for pups. and if that doesnt clear up the problem go to the vet and see what they can do or if he can have frontline. on some breeds just brushing them works well with a bath. the real problem is going to be getting the fleas out of your house and not getting the puppy covered again.

Bring your puppy to a Vet, don't use anything on a puppy that young unless your bring him to a Vet, is he still with his mother? he should be, that would mean she has them too, he should be at a Vet also to schedule shots & check for worms & heartworm, and it cannot be treated with over the counter, those over the counter meds have killed animals you pup will be treated according to weight, the longer you leave the pup untreated for fleas the sicker he will get, it will cause anemia.

Dont use any products yet. the puppy is not old enough for most product unless it was for puppies. even then be careful its for a 5 week not 8 week old.
try using dish detergent.
when old enough use frontline.

Bathing them with Lemon scent joy (or any other lemon scent dishsoap) will do the trick! Also you can mix equal parts of lemon juice and water in a spray bottle to mist them with between baths. be sure to dry the puppies well zaand keep them out of drafts! Good luck!

I used to spray Adams Flea and Tick Mist on a towel, wrap the puppy in the towel and hold them in it for ten or so minutes. Then grooming with a fine tooth flea comb, knocking the fleas into a bowl of soapy water.

This works good for kittens too, gets them used to being handled.
