Not all people are pet people, when you have pets, how do you deal with the non pet people coming to your home during the holidays?

This may sound harsh, but personally, if my relatives don't want to be around my pets for the holidays, they can either just stay home, or they can invite me to THEIR house and THEY can do all the holiday cooking...trust me, once that alternative is thrown at them, suddenly, they find a way to deal with their adversion to my pets.

First of all how could anyone not be a pet person but i know they are out there. It may sound harsh but if someone doesn't want to be around my dogs then the welcome doesn't go out. My dogs are my children and they are part of all holiday celebrations. Luckily all my friends and family are HUGE dog lovers. I also do my part to make my dogs are well exercised prior to company coming and make sure they have fun things like a stuffed kong, bully stick or treat to keep them busy during our dinner.

its not just your home, its your pets home too. they dont deserve to be locked in a room by themselves for 6 hours, so if your guests dont like it, tough.
