I use a baby bottle brush to clean out my guinea pig bottles. It still hard to clean out the spout thoroughly. Do you know any tricks or shortcuts to clean them?

Hi kathy,I use rice, the opening on the waters bottle I have is to small for a bottle brush, put about a 1/2tsp of rice, a squirt of dish soap and water, shake ,rinse,it works great

I only use glass water bottles and I put them in the diswasher. I figure the heat from that will kill any germs. Then I rinse them again with soap and hot water to make sure there's no diswasher residue from the dishwasher detergent.

I used the baby bottle bottle brush to clean them too when I had Guinea pigs. I also had extra bottles so when I would switch them out i could leave them to soak a bit.
